Developed to help practice managers, project managers, and their designates on project teams, the Project Site Toolkit makes creation and maintenance of temporary subsites, "short-duration tasks". In fact, if you choose to work with the templates and within an established framework, it's possible to maintain a project site even if you know little or no HTML.
This area of the web site is the place to come if you're considering a site to support project activities. The Toolkit bundles information from an on-line form to initiate development of a new site to development standards HTML that should inform the work. Links above lead to the information and tools that will help you to get the job done.
While project teams will continue to have the flexibility to develop their own sites (some
minimum requirements), the Project Toolkit offers some clear advantages. Among these, the toolkit is quick, it provides for consistent information architecture, look and feel and clean integration with the OAS main site. This doesn't, however, preclude your ability to "brand" your site by adding a project title, logo and project-specific content areas. Use of the Toolkit also generally makes it easier for OAS Web Services to support you. Click the link above to review options, and to start building your project site.
